Description:
In the 2022-2023 VEX Robotics (V5RC) Competition, I served as the team leader and programmer, leading a group of five in building and programming a robot to compete across the UAE. Over 7 weeks, we dedicated 30 hours per week to designing, constructing, and refining our robot, while also writing an engineering notebook that won us the Design Award. I programmed the robot to perform key maneuvers that contributed to our success in the competition and played a significant role in constructing parts of the robot. As the team leader, I ensured that everyone stayed on track, did their best, and supported each other throughout the intense schedule of weekday training and weekend competitions. Despite the challenges of balancing schoolwork, late nights, and the demands of working with different personalities, our team’s hard work paid off as we won five awards: the Innovate Award, Design Award, two Judges Award, and Power Girl Awards. Along the way, we formed strong friendships and engaged deeply in the competition, making it a truly memorable experience.
