Description:

In the First Session of “28 Days to COP 28” (2023), organized by Emirates Schools Establishment, I served as the team leader for our hydroponics project. During this week-long event, my team and I dedicated 6 hours per week to developing a hydroponics system that integrated IoT technology. Our project was designed to monitor key environmental factors like humidity, temperature, and water levels, with a fan that activated when temperatures rose too high. It used no soil, relying on a water circulation system that reused nutrient-rich water to nourish the plants. The system was connected to an app that allowed users to monitor their plants and receive alerts.
One major challenge was integrating IoT technology accurately in a short time. We overcame this by working closely as a team, dividing tasks effectively, and troubleshooting problems quickly. My role included creating the presentation, assisting with programming, and building the hydroponics system alongside my team. Our project was ultimately selected for further recognition.
