Description:
During the Yale Model United Nations (MUN) conference, which took place from January 11 to January 13, 2024, I was assigned to represent South Africa. In this role, I engaged in discussions focusing on child and women labor, a critical issue on the global stage. My responsibilities included conducting in-depth research, formulating alliances with other countries, and collaborating to draft comprehensive rules and policies for the United Nations to address these challenges.
Our team worked diligently to create actionable solutions and present them to other participating teams, aiming to foster a more equitable and just approach to labor issues. The experience was highly enriching, allowing me to connect with many talented individuals and gain valuable insights into international diplomacy and policy-making. This opportunity not only broadened my understanding of global labor issues but also enhanced my skills in negotiation, teamwork, and public speaking.
