In the High School Academic Research Competition (SARC24), held from April 20 to May 6, 2024, I participated as the sole researcher and writer. Over the course of three weeks during the school year, dedicating 20 hours each week, I focused on developing a comprehensive research proposal for a smart safety helmet. This innovative project aimed to enhance safety for various professions by integrating advanced technology into protective headgear. The primary challenge I faced was succinctly presenting a complex and multifaceted concept within the constraint of a two-page limit. Despite this, I meticulously detailed the helmet’s functionality, including its smart features such as real-time impact detection, integrated communication systems, and environmental sensors. My proposal emphasized how these features could significantly improve safety and operational efficiency across different sectors, showcasing both the technical feasibility and potential impact of the smart safety helmet.
